LIS 648: Week Seven

This week was fairly uneventful, and involved more reference practice at the desk with Doris and Greta. I'm pretty comfortable locating records in the archive at this point, although there is a little hunting involved to find the correct record group!

I was able to go downstairs to the East TN History Museum and explore a little free of charge! The museum is incredibly well done. When entering one can observe an old pharmacy modeled after one owned by a Knoxville resident as well as an actual streetcar that used to run in downtown Knoxville!

The museum traces the history of East TN from its Native American Inhabitants all the way up to the present, and it's a real treasure for the Knoxville and East TN communities.
